Happy 38th, Dear!

Elder Wigg and I celebrated our 38th Wedding Anniversary this week.

I bought the cake at "Cake Walk".  It seems that Elder Wigg and I are 'one':  "Elder Sister Wigg"
Prem took the pictures for us. Thanks, Prem, you did a good job.  I love this photo!
We blew out the 2 candles.  Well, I blew them out, I found out later.
 He fed me...
...and I fed him, as tradition demands.
Elder Wigg bought me some lovely flowers and a great card.

Now it's off to dinner at ITC Gardenia Hotel buffet.
Beautiful floodlights
The guard at the front gate.
 A gorgeous Christmas Tree
 Cute and creative decorations
We found these cute chairs to pose in.  So fun!

Can you see my pink shirt reflected in the silver ball?
 The Hotel decor is amazing.
Our table centerpiece was fresh roses (yellow, my favorite, and also my wedding flower!) and a yellow pepper!  So creative!
This is the main part of the buffet, wide view to see the size.
Just a few of the desserts
A few more of the desserts, showing the style and arrangement
 Lovely Lily
 bowl of pomegranates
this appears to be gulab jamun
fresh fruit with vanilla pudding and raspberry sauce
Chocolate mousse with a pure chocolate wafer
 What is this fruit?
 This cake was so good!
There was also a wide variety of breads.
 Breadsticks
And look what Elder Wigg found...h'orderves!
 And more over here!
 Build your own salad
This is my first plate of supper.
Now, stop chewing so that I can take a photo!
 The reception area
 beautifully decorated for Christmas
Of course we overate, but we really enjoyed the time out together!
We will be together for at least another 35 million years!  Yes!
Thank you, sweetie, for a fun day and a great date night/Anniversary dinner!

Christmas decorations

Yesterday I decorated our Christmas tree in our apartment.
It's our last Christmas in India and I enjoyed the time spent trimming the tree.

In the dark of night, I like the blue light.
 Merry Christmas to you all!
I like to tie bows from pretty Christmas ribbon.
These balls were left here from a previous tenant.  I'm not sure if it was an earlier couple or the Elders before us but I like them.
It's about 6 feet from bottom to top.
I find it interesting that these lights appear blue to the eye but my camera sees them as purple.
...and here are balls, bows and lights...a beautiful combination.
This is the daylight version of our little tree. It sure feels festive now.  I like that.
My most favourite decoration is the darling wooden Nativity made for me by Katrina.  I love it.  It's so simply beautiful and reminds me of my Saviour, Jesus Christ who is the reason for the season, right?

I will try to send an email to our friends and family this Christmas, but for now...
Merry Christmas to all of you!  May the Lord bless you in all your righteous endeavours and answer your prayers for peace, health and happiness now and forever.

Dinner out with Friends

We had a nice dinner out with friends, Preetha & Ashish and their daughter, Jessica.

We enjoyed eating out at California Pizza Kitchen.
But more than eating out, we enjoyed the company of this great family.  Thanks for making it a fun evening! We really enjoyed getting to know you better.
Hummm, not our best picture, it's the flash, I think.

Also this week, for Friday date night, we went to Chilli's over at Phoenix Market Square Mall.
I had Chicken Fajita Quesadillas.  They were great!
Jerome had a Chicken Club Sandwich and fries which was also good.
We love being out together...but we're finding the calories are too much lately!
 2 for 1 Mocktails...Creamsicle Smoothie and Lemon Virgin Margarita...Mmmm
I love being out with my best friend in the world!
