Chavadi

We had the great opportunity to drive outside of Coimbatore to the small town of Chavadi.

We saw the 2 small chapels there and the Elders cleaned out the Baptismal Font in preparation for a baptism the next day.  It was great service!
Chavadi Church -the language spoken here is Tamil.

Elder Ram got straight to work cleaning out the cement font outside the Church.

 Elder Wigg, my sweetie.
Elder Ram.  What a hard worker, and so happy to serve.
 Chavadi chapel inside
This looks like a fun Christmas activity!
Home Study Seminary happens a lot in remote areas.
The font is looking pretty clean now.
Even the outside walkways were swept clean.
Elder Ram, Karthik and Elder Racharla finishing up the work.
It looks so clean!  Clean enough to be used for a baptism!
Now they're refilling the font with water, ready for the next day.
This is Sister Deepa being baptized 30 September 2012 in Chavadi!
Good for you, Sister Deepa.  It's the right decision.
This is Brother Parmesh doing the baptizing.
A field of palm trees is opposite the area where the church is in Chavadi.

These little streets are so pretty and clean, as well.
 This little town is beautiful.
This is Semmedu Chapel. Such a cute little church here in Semmedu, a small village outside of Coimbatore, right next to Chavadi.

  1. Wow. That outside cement font sure makes me realize all the more how blessed our members are over here. Can't imagine. Looks like the guys did a wonderful job of cleaning it.
